So my Thursday WALKING class was non-existent because the sidewalks are still covered in snow. So instead it was strength training. We did 10 minutes of cardio, then went straight to the weights, ran stairs, then back to stretching and other endurance activities. I have never been so sore in my life! The next day I had planned to wake up and do Jillian Michaels … that didn’t happen. I have been sore since Friday morning, painfully sore. Sore that it hurts to stretch my arms to reach. Sore that I couldn’t hold my cell phone to my ear Thursday night. Friday night was killer because I was sitting on the floor most of the evening and could not get comfortable because my body ached.
Saturday, I attempted the gym, but every machine was full and 3 were broken. I was too lazy to drive to the Y, so I hopped on the upright bike. I couldn’t get the seat to adjust, so I was going at it on my tippy-toes for a half an hour. Horrible work out, but I got some good reading in. Then Megan and I went to Baja Fresh, Ulta and The Loft. Got home and started to get ready for Phil’s bday. I have not been out in FOREVER! Scott didn’t come because he was sick, but later referenced my behavior to that of a 19 year old. Maybe because I called crying at 9 in the morning Sunday requesting aspirin and a hashbrown? He never disappoints 🙂 So he came over at 10 with the goods and then drove me to Frederick to spend time with my cousin. Lunch was a lot of fun with Meg, Sarah and Scott. I love my family!

So the agenda for tonight. I need to go to the bank to cash some checks – maybe on my lunch break?, I NEED NEED NEED running tights and might even splurge for the sneakers I’ve been wanting. Then I’ll head to the Y on my way home and fingers crossed to do the Jillian Michaels’ “Shred”.

I also have homework to do for class on Wednesday and reading for Thursday. The busy life of someone working over 40 hours a week and has class in the evening. Maybe, that’s why I’m apparently so tired?

Sunday, Feb. 14th – Valentines Day … got back from the Woods, Hung around the apartment with the girls, got ready and then went to dinner with Sco at 6 in Rockville. Back to CP we went, watched “The Time Traveler’s Wife” and bed.

Monday, Feb. 15th … Woke up, bowled 5 games, back to my apartment, indulged in some retail therapy – bought shoes, bras and undies and then headed to the grocery store. Might I add it started snowing again and being at the grocery store was probably the worst place ever! Oh, President’s Day and the crazies that are in public!
Exercise I did 35 minutes on the bike, ran 0.5 miles.

Tuesday, Feb. 16th … Work, Drove home to Frederick for my Grandmother’s 75th birthday party, home-cooked dinner (YUM!). Ran 0.5 miles, walked 0.5 miles. My mom’s treadmill is possessed. I set it on a speed and it would double and I pretty much burned myself out!

Wednesday, Feb. 17th … Work, Biked for 45 minutes, then headed off to class.  Getting back in the routine of class/work again.  Booo!

Tonight, I have work, walking class – tell me where we’re gonna walk with the sidewalks still covered, and then class til 9:10.  Busy night, but tomorrow is Friday!!

On a side note.  So I love my Sco.  He stopped by last night to drop off my notebook for class, which I forgot to bring to class for tonight … ANYWAY, he was very sneaky and used my spare car key to unlock my car and place a list of all the reasons he loves me called the “None Reasons Why I Love You …” list.  I would share, but it’s so darn cute, I don’t want anyone to vomit 🙂  Made my morning as I read it at a red light.  I don’t even remember falling on ice at work because I re-read the list!

Finally got off of my rump and went to the gym. This snow has caused some serious roadblocks in my workout plan. So, GO AWAY! Workout was mediocre, but I smell bad so it must have been something! Horrible logic! I ran 1.5 miles, walked 0.25 miles, ran 0.25 miles, then walked for 5 minutes. Total was 280 Calories, 2.37 for distance.

I had a mini break-down last night and I can’t put my finger on what it was from, but I feel awful the next day – especially when I took it out on Scott. Maybe it’s because I’ve been in close quarters with him for 7 days and then last night was the first by myself night? I don’t know, I want to blame that. It’s just lonely in the apartment when you are by yourself. I should have gone out last night, but the apartment is a mess and just put me in a blah mood. So instead I stayed in my room, attempted cleaning, attempted to do my valentine’s gift, attempted to read … attempted, attempted, attempted, failed at everything.

I know it’s the same ordeal and I probably shouldn’t say anything about it, but our sink is overflowing with dishes again. I would clean them up if I had put any of them in the sink, but I haven’t been here in a week and don’t think it’s fair that I have to clean them up. I don’t want to say anything because I’d rather someone else acknowledge the mess and clean it. Writing about my frustration helps, because I always seem to blow steam off on Scott and he’s probably tired of hearing.

So since it’s 8:40, I’ve worked out, blogged -that means it’s really time to clean this room up and then shower.

So if I write about it, maybe I’ll feel better …

I think the last time I went to the gym was Thursday – where I biked for 45 minutes.  The day before I biked for 30 minutes and then ran 1 mile and walked 0.5 miles.  Needless to say I have not done anything nor watched my eating because of this snow storm times two!

My eating run-down because I need to see it to remind myself when I’m out of College Park – it’s eating right and workout DOUBLE!!  Biggest Loser at work wraps up April 14th and with friends it ends the week before.  I’m in serious need of dropping pounds if I want to win!

Friday

Breakfast – Milk and cereal, milk and cereal, cereal and milk (ha)

Lunch – Small portion of left over Subway and 4 WW bagel bites

Dinner – Fries, Chicken Nuggets, Ice Cream and Beer

Saturday

Breakfast -Milk and cereal

Lunch – 2 Arnold rolls with turkey/ham/provolone grilled – delicious

Pudding

Dinner – 1.5 pieces of pizza, Ice Cream, Beer

Sunday

Breakfast – Milk and Cereal

Lunch – Chips and a refried bean/salsa/small amount of cheese dip

Dinner – Crab dip, triscuits, baked wings, Ice Cream and Beer

Monday

Breakfast – Milk and Cereal

Lunch – Hard Times Terlingua Red Chili with beans, tomatoes, onions, cheese

Snack – pudding, a little crab dip and triscuits

Dinner – pork tenderloin, 1 piece of garlic bread, mixed veggies

So today is another day off work, and if it snows this afternoon like it’s supposed to – that will most likely mean off Wednesday and maybe Thursday.

Thank God Scobeans lives by the Shoppers.  On Friday we walked up Cherry Hill just to see what it was like out.  Got to Route 1 – was standing in the middle of the road and there was just no traffic.  It was really cool.

Yesterday (Monday) we decided that we needed to be proactive and get our cars out.  We walked to Home Depot and there were no shovels – shocker.  The walk was fun, this time waling on the yellow line in between slow moving cars as you are telling yourself  “don’t slip on the ice, you’ll get run over!” – rather that’s what I was telling myself.

Waiting for Mr. Breathe Right Nose Strip to wake up so we can walk to Shoppers again and reassess what we need and try to attempt to get his car out – his tires are encased in ice!  He used a whole 25 lb bag on his car alone.  I think we need to get it out and move it so when the next storm of sleet comes he’s not royally screwed – but digging out is hard when you’re using a dust pan 🙂

I banked on snow and failed myself. No gym on Tuesday. Was going to do all workout videos today on my “day off”, but that’s not happening. Instead, I’ll go to the gym at ASHA, heat up dinner and head to class. *sigh* I need to get back to being serious.

The last time I wrote, well I can’t remember what it was about.  I may repeat.  Whoopsies in advance.

Friday – I did JM in the morning, worked, then CStone for happy hour and hanging out with my Wubs.

Saturday – Wubs didn’t think it was gonna snow … it did.  Wubs also wants to  become a pro-bowler.  Not football, bowling.  So we went out in the snow to UMD and bowled at Stamp after a nice lunch of Subway.  Honestly, it was a lot of fun.  I don’t know if it was the walk from Lot 1 to the Union, being back in CP, but I really love that kid.  Enough mush.  YUCK! 🙂  He’s on the right track to bowler fame, 4 strikes between the 9th and 10th frame!  We’ve been working on a 1,500 piece puzzle which is coming along nicely.  It was fun to be stuck in the snow, even though we were driving around in it.  We went to the grocery store and bought ingredients for making our own Buffalo Chicken pizza.  A little soggy in the middle, but we each have our own ideas to remedy that!  Then we watched “Watchmen” and called it a night.

Sunday – Met with Ang and Sap for lunch at Rock Bottom Brewery – yummy!  Then a little Ben & Jerrys for dessert.  Traded in my $3 scratch off, invested $2 more and won $10!  Then Scott dropped me off and I insisted on the try to see he less have a life outside of him deal and I failed miserably.  Ended up sitting around from 3:30 til bedtime thinking about how I wanted to be hanging out with him.  I did get a little cleaning done in my room.  Productivity – zlinch.  I could have gone to the gym, work out tapes and I didn’t.  I stink.

Monday – Work, went to a new job interview, more work, then gym.  I am getting into a habit of setting for the bike at the gym because all of the treadmills are full – not good at all!  Today I biked about 50 minutes total of 24 miles and 305 calories.  Biking disappoints me sometimes because the amount of calories is never as high.  I was gonna hop on the treadmill, but they were still full.

Tomorrow, I plan to wake up and do JM and then go to the gym.  I must run 2.0 miles tomorrow!!
